I have only ran into 2 shinys in the game that weren't in-game shines (not gyrados or haxorus) and my first one was a shiny geodude when i was 9 or 10, and guess what move it used -_- (self destruct)
and then 5 years later on Fire red i run into a shiny pikachu right as i ran out of pokeballs from trying to catch one before.
